The liveliness of Rossini’s opera ouvertures, Schubert’s dramatic “Fourth”, and Concerto K.453 – about which Mozart himself said “it will make you sweat”. A schedule that will be a test bed for the versatile Budapest Festival Orchestra, one of the most important European orchestras, that embodies the great Mitteleuropean tradition at its best. Emmanuel Ax, Canadian pianist of Polish origins, is a well renowned performer specialized in Mozart’s work, and his recordings have been awarded the Grammy Award multiple times.
