ORATORIO DI SAN FILIPPO NERI

Clarissa Bevilacqua violin

Clarissa Bevilacqua performed for the first time in front of an audience when she was nine, and graduated at Conservatorio di Piacenza when she was sixteen. Pupil of Boris Belkin and Pavel Vernikov, she is currently studying at Mozarteum in Salzburg with Pierre Amoyal. Her strong points are the gracefulness and the communicative nature of her style; she’s a passionate performer who already masters a virtuoso repertoire that ranges from Baroque Music to the 20th Century: Bach’s Sonata BWV 1001, with its famous fugue; the “spring-like” Sonata op.31 n.2 by Hindemith; Paganiniana, variations for solo violin written by the famous violinist Nathan Milstein; and Ysaÿe’s “Jacques Thibaud” Sonata, a monument to modern violin technique.
