ORATORIO DI SAN FILIPPO NERI

Elia Cecino piano

Winner of the 2019 edition of “Premio Venezia”, dedicated to the best graduate students of Italian Conservatories, 19-years-old Elia Cecino started playing the piano when he was nine, and then studied with Eliso Virsaladze at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. For his debut in Bologna, he will follow the trail of classicism: Haydn, Mendelssohn and a homage to Beethoven for his 250th anniversary. Outside the classic formal patterns, Chopin’s Sonata op.35 is a powerful and original work that has its founding core in the famous Funeral March.
