Quartetto Werther

They have been playing music together for three years and they have distinguished themselves in several chamber music competitions: Misa Iannoni Sebastianini (violin), Martina Santarone (viola), Simone Chiominto (cello) and Antonino Fiumara (piano) are completing their studies with Trio di Parma and Pierpaolo Maurizzi at the Conservatory of Parma. For their debut in Bologna, they have selected Schumann’s Quartet in E-flat major op.47, a work of his full artistic maturity that, in the imaginative freedom of its finale, seems to open new perspectives, leading  to Brahms and Fauré. The first Quartet by the French composer will also be included in the programme – an early work that will be remembered thanks to the beauty of its themes, and that clearly shows Schumann’s influence in its central Adagio.
