Riccardo Muti is back at Bologna Festival with his Orchestra Cherubini. A special concert, in the big renovated venue of PalaDozza, that Bologna Festival dedicates to his beloved artistic director Mario Messinis, who left us recently. The programme includes the well-known “From the New World” Symphony by Dvořák and pieces by composers connected to Bologna like Martucci, Bossi and Busoni, the same ones that Mahler chose for his last concert in New York in 1911. A tribute to the best italian symphonic tradition, very much alive also overseas. An ideal world tour in music, between Europe and America.

Marco Enrico Bossi

from Intermezzi Goldoniani op.127

Ferruccio Busoni
