Nicolò Cafaro

The name of Nicolò Cafaro emerges from the darkness four years ago, in 2019, when the Sicilian pianist, just nineteen, wins the sixth prize at the Busoni Competition in Bolzano. In reality Nicolò has been performing in public since the age of twelve and before Bolzano he had already established himself in at least four other international competitions. In November 2022, however, the most important milestone: the victory at the “Venice Prize”. A career on the rise, therefore, which is reflected in the program – mature and ambitious – chosen for this concert: two Nocturnes and Chopin’s Fantasia in F minor framed by three Sonatas by Scarlatti and the Seven Fantasie by Brahms.
