Giacomo Menegardi

piano

Giacomo Menegardi

Giacomo Menegardi, 23 years old artist and very recent winner of the Venice Prize, has a “long” and profound familiarity with the piano: “When I was a year and a half, my parents made me listen to Mozart’s Turkish March, and I started dancing to the music. Since then, the piano has become my best friend.” A total love for it shines through. At six, he began his first studies in Belluno, then attended the Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto, winning a series of awards in about thirty competitions. Now, he is in the beginning of a career that seems to be very bright. In Bologna, he brings a program skilfully balanced between the classicism of the 19th century and the symbolism of the 20th century.
