Quartetto Rilke

Within the vibrant Italian chamber music scene, the Quartetto Rilke, founded in 2022, has already secured a prominent place, with engagements in the “Le Dimore del Quartetto” network and an upcoming residency at the Ticino Musica Festival 2025. The artistic journey of the four young musicians blends an active concert career with ongoing advanced training—initially with the Ysaÿe Quartet in Paris, and later with some of the most renowned international ensembles, including the Quartetto di Cremona and the Alban Berg, Artemis, Kuss, Jerusalem, and Pavel Haas Quartets.

The program features a classic of the repertoire, Haydn’s “Fifths” Quartet, paired with Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8, Op. 110—a work of intense expressionist character and autobiographical inspiration, presented here as a tribute to the great Russian composer on the 50th anniversary of his death.
