An intercultural musical journey with Spanish clarinettist of Indian-Yugoslav origins Robindro Nikolich Mukherjee and his Ensemble Ars Vulgaris—an original ensemble bringing together Robert Santamaria on qanun and saz, Francesco Savoretti on ethnic percussion, and Pau Valls Vila on cello.
Their new project, Il fiato che resta, is a work of musical mediation engaging with the cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkan regions, moving across seas and mountain ranges to rediscover rhythms such as the Greek syrto and sammai, Bulgarian dances like kopanitsa, as well as doina melodies and dabka rhythms.
The session lasts approximately 80 minutes and includes attendance at the evening concert performed by the artists as part of the Il Nuovo, l’Antico, l’Altrove series.

All You Need is Love

Love. A journey into the world of emotions through musical and literary paths—an exploration of sentiment shaped by great classics. Composers, poets, novelists and playwrights who have captured its essence in works of enduring relevance, beyond time itself: Bach, Prokofiev, Debussy, Gershwin, Weill, Pärt, Eilish, alongside texts by Shakespeare, Catullus, Prévert, Sappho, Dickinson and Merini. Sounds and words come together to give form to our understanding of love, both within and beyond the present day.
The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes.

I nuovi linguaggi del Novecento

In the first half of the twentieth century, music—like the other arts, particularly literature and painting—was shaped by a variety of aesthetic movements, ranging from avant-garde experimentation to nostalgic returns to the past. From the symbolist nuances of Claude Debussy’s music to the neoclassicism of Maurice Ravel, from Igor Stravinsky’s “Russian period” to the twelve-tone technique of Arnold Schoenberg. From Stalinist Russia come the more “realist” works of Sergei Prokofiev, while from Eastern Europe emerge the ethnomusicological interests of the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.
The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes.

CONCERT INVITATION – LISTENING GUIDE
The invitation to evening concerts includes preparatory listening sessions held at schools. Each school may attend one symphonic concert from the Grandi Interpreti series or one chamber concert from the Talenti or Il Nuovo, l’Antico, l’Altrove series.
Admission is free. A maximum of 30 places are available, reserved for students and two accompanying adults.

Activities at the Pinacoteca and the event “Wandering Music and Voices of Exile” at the Oratorio di San Filippo Neri are free of charge.
Participation in lecture-concerts at the Music Museum requires a flat fee of €100 per class.
