A glimpse into the largely unexplored musical heritage of Bologna, flourishing between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. With a historically informed approach, the ensemble presents sacred and secular works by Colonna, Capacelli, Bassani, Predieri, and Caldara, selecting pieces that range from a “tormentous labyrinth” to a Miserere, and to the unheard song of the celestial spheres.
