Daniele Martinelli and Orchestra Senzaspine: Mozart and Beethoven
PROGRAMME:
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Così fan tutte: Overture
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major, K. 503
- Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37
For over forty years, the Premio Venezia has been a privileged observatory of the future of the piano: its finalists have traditionally gone on to build solid international careers. Within this context stands Daniele Martinelli (born 2004), trained in Bergamo and winner of the most recent edition, where he distinguished himself with particularly notable performances of works by Kurtág and Liszt.
Together with Orchestra Senzaspine, he takes on in a single evening two cornerstones of the piano and orchestra repertoire at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries: Mozart and Beethoven. Two concertos of virtuosic brilliance yet symphonic breadth, marking a decisive stage in the evolution of the genre—where the piano is not only a solo protagonist, but also a driving force of dialogue and musical architecture.
