From their first electrifying encounter in 2020, it was clear that the paths of Sir Simon Rattle and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe would continue to intertwine. Symbolically linking their trajectories is the figure of Claudio Abbado: mentor in the early years of what is now one of the most refined orchestras on the international scene, and at the same time Rattle’s predecessor at the helm of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
