Cloister of the Basilica of Santo Stefano
piano
Born in 2005, Ruben Xhaferi began studying piano at the age of five and, from the age of eight, has studied under Sandro Baldi at the Bologna Conservatory. He has stood out in numerous piano competitions, winning First Prize at the “Andrea Baldi” International Competition in Bologna at just ten years old. He later won other major prizes, including at the Rome International Piano Competition (Young Pianist category), Piano Talents in Milan, the Zucchelli Prize in Bologna, and the International Piano Competition in Radovljica, Slovenia.
He has performed in prestigious concert venues in both Italy and Spain. His artistic development continues through advanced studies with Lilya Zilberstein at the Accademia Chigiana and Alberto Nosè at the Amadeus Academy. Since 2024, he has been a student of Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia di Pinerolo.
His interpretations have been broadcast by Rai Radio 3, and he has already performed in the concert series “I Concerti del Quirinale.” He now returns to pianofortissimo with a particularly demanding program, entirely devoted to Chopin, a composer to whom he feels especially connected.
